Pazaak Cantina Privacy Policy

Effective

This policy explains what data the Android app Pazaak Cantina (the “app”) collects, why, and what choices you have. The app is made by OneSevenGames, a solo developer based in Austin, Texas, USA (“I”, “me”). Questions? Email alex@onesevengames.com.

Pazaak Cantina is free to play, supported by ads and optional in-app purchases.

Summary

  • I don’t ask for your real name, email address, contacts, photos, or precise location.
  • The app uses your Google Play Games profile (player ID and display name) to save progress, run multiplayer, and show leaderboards and achievements.
  • Ads are served by Google AdMob, which collects device and usage data to show and measure ads.
  • Purchases are handled by Google Play. I never see your payment details.
  • You can ask me to delete your data at any time. See Deleting your data.

Data the app collects

Game account and progress

When you sign in with Google Play Games, the app receives your Play Games player ID and display name (gamer tag), and may show your Play Games avatar. Firebase Authentication links your session to that player ID.

The app stores the following in Google Firebase (Realtime Database and Cloud Functions), linked to your player ID:

  • Game progress, settings, in-game currencies, unlocks, titles, and campaign progress
  • Records of in-app purchases and entitlements (the Google Play purchase token, product, and status), so purchases can be verified and restored
  • Multiplayer data: your display name, the cantina and table you join, matchmaking and ready-check timestamps, and match state
  • Leaderboard and Hall of Fame entries, and Daily Memoraak scores
  • Optional ratings you submit (for example, the rating at the end of the campaign)
  • Diagnostic logs of game actions (action name, related values, your player ID, and a timestamp), used to fix bugs and investigate problems

Achievements and leaderboards

Achievements and leaderboards are provided by Google Play Games Services and are subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. Your Play Games profile settings control who can see your activity.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows ads through Google AdMob. For advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google:

  • Device and account identifiers, such as your advertising ID and app set ID
  • Your IP address, which can indicate your approximate location
  • App interactions, such as app launches, taps, and ad views
  • Diagnostic information, such as app launch time, hang rate, and energy use

Depending on your region and settings, ads may be personalized. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your Android settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads on most devices). Learn more: How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Purchases (Google Play Billing)

In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. I receive a purchase token and order status to deliver and restore what you bought. I never receive your card or payment details.

Reviews and updates

The app uses Google Play’s in-app review and in-app update features. These are handled by Google Play.

Messages you send me

If you email me or use the contact form, I receive your name, your email address, and whatever you write, and I use them only to reply.

How I use data

  • To run the game: saving progress, multiplayer matchmaking, leaderboards, and achievements
  • To deliver and restore purchases
  • To show ads, which keep the game free
  • To find and fix bugs and prevent cheating or abuse
  • To reply to you when you contact me

I don’t sell your personal information.

Who data is shared with

Data is processed by these service providers on my behalf, under their own privacy policies:

Other players can see your display name, multiplayer table, leaderboard scores, and Hall of Fame entries. I may also disclose data if the law requires it.

Data retention

I keep game and account data while you play, so your progress isn’t lost. Diagnostic logs are kept only as long as they’re useful for fixing problems. When you ask me to delete your data, I delete it from Firebase within 30 days. Data held by Google (for example, your Play Games profile or purchase history) is managed in your Google account.

Deleting your data

To delete your Pazaak Cantina game data, email alex@onesevengames.com or use the contact form with the topic “Data deletion request”. Include your in-game display name so I can find your account. I’ll confirm when it’s done, within 30 days. Deleting your data permanently removes your progress, currencies, and unlocks. Purchase records may be kept where needed to comply with the law or to prevent fraud.

You can also uninstall the app, remove Pazaak Cantina from your Google Play Games settings, and manage your Google data at myaccount.google.com.

Children

Pazaak Cantina isn’t directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact me and I’ll delete it.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with Google Firebase, which restricts access with security rules. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or move your data, or to object to some processing. Email me to make a request. I’ll respond within the time the law requires.

International users

I’m based in the United States, and Google may process data in the US and other countries.

Changes

If I change this policy, I’ll post the new version here and update the effective date. If the changes are significant, I’ll also mention them in the app or in a dev update.
